lisa perry’s windows

I recently saw Lisa Perry’s house in Living Etc. and although there were lots of things I loved about it, I was especially intrigued by the all white walls with the black trim on the inside of the windows. Maybe I could do this at my house, too!

Michael McDowell

Aren’t these reclaimed pieces lovely? How does he do that!

According to his etsy shop, Michael McDowell is a a Sr. Online Graphic Designer living and working in Denver, Colorado. “Primarily I handbuild vases and small sculpture out of clay, mix my own glazes, do collage and painting on vintage fine china that I re-fire.” Beautiful.

claire brewster

I was so excited to run across Claire Brewster’s beautiful work in Inside Out magazine. Claire creates her art from discarded papers, like maps and old magazines, and says “you can tell as much about a society by what it throws out as by what it puts in its museums as mementos of prior existence.” Aren’t they gorgeous?!

bright tights

Yesterday I was looking through one of my favorite sites, Colour Lovers, for a more muted color palette for a client, and saw a link to this site, where you can find tights in any color you ever wanted. For just $8.

jan von holleben

light-hearted photos by jan von holleben.  I’ve seen these somewhere before but I can’t place it… oh well.

aqua + orange + simon johnston

I’m digging this piece by Simon Johnston, especially the color palette.

i heart it bigtime

If you haven’t checked out we heart it yet, you should… but be forewarned that it is a little overwhelming and might possibly suck up your whole day!  I’ve been digging through it for about a week and actually started my own account today. But, I’m still trying to figure out why the things I’ve hearted from other blogs and websites haven’t shown up.  So far, I can only get things I’ve hearted from other users to show up in my account?  Anyway, you can see mine here. So cool!

pravina

Isn’t it funny how you end up finding places on the internet?  Today I commented on a beautiful Dear Ada post, and the comment above mine was from Diana of Pravina…. who makes the bag above.  I love how simple it is, and I’m always attracted to anything with pleats!

have you been checking out ok great?!

Cause you should be!

carol hummel

wow.

michelle armas

I love these little drawing/painting pieces by Michelle Armas. I found them on her blog but you can buy prints of her artwork at the shiny squirrel. (via designmilk).

michael swaney

Occasionally I come across something in my bookmarks that I don’t remember ever seeing before…. I guess this means I spend too much time on the internet. Cool collages by Michael Swaney, here.

craftzine blog

Lately I’ve been enjoying reading Craft Magazine’s blog.  I think I might give this cute coin purse a try, although my attempt last week at these felted block rattles for a friend’s baby present didn’t end up so well. (note: store-bought felt makes the whole project look hideous). Maybe my coin purse will be a bigger success.

troy lovegates

I can’t find anything else on this guy except his flickr page, which is a little weird because his art is so damn cool.
