Occasionally I run across an artist who makes me want to immediately pull out my paintbrushes/scissors and get to work, and Aaron Tucker is one of those artists. Everything he makes just looks like he had so much fun making it! His website is OK but his flickr page is better. And then you can find him on etsy as well.

colin johnson

Colin Johnson is an illustrator from Minnesota, who has a really impressive client list, tons of cool work on his website, and a fun flickr account. Oh and you can buy some of his stuff on etsy too.

rex ray

Rex Ray is one of those artists that everyone loves. In fact, you probably either had one of his posters on your dorm room wall or knew someone who did. But, I’m posting on him anyway because I recently bought some Rex Ray note cards from my local art museum and they are so cheerful that I’m torn between sending all of them out immediately or hoarding them and sticking them in frames. (And I have to admit that I was just a little bit happy to see that his graphic design work is…. not that cool.)

edholm ullenius

Edholm Ullenius does some nice things with pattern, which you’ve probably seen at ikea, like these little table lamps above.  This would make a great DIY weekend project by the way…hmm…
